One of my better golds this year; I like it.

Shelley,

Actually, its an unripe Black from Tula -
We had monsoon-like rains and the wind knocked off
a branch. I brought it into work and gave it
to a lady that likes to cook fried green tomatoes ...
She said it was good !

Hope all is well,

~ Tom

Started all my seeds on 3/27, majority of my seedlings were in the ground between 5/20 and 5/22. Sungold was my first to ripen, harvested a few on 7/2...now they're coming like theres no tomorrow!! Bali was a close second, first ripe ones on 7/5, now they're coming like.....see above comment..LOL!! For it still being pretty early here Large Barred Boar has produced some beauties, and pretty large ones too.

Only real disappointment has been Green Sausage, mostly my fault though. Should have placed them in a better location with more support to get them off the ground. Judging by immature fruits and flowering Zapotec Pleated will be a winner as will Speckled Roman, Orange Heirloom and German Red Strawberry. If I had to pick THE one this year it would be Large Barred Boar...very happy with this one!!

Suze, thanks for the info. I didn't know that and yes I do like to know. I am going to correct that on my seed list.
I don't like to be an un-knowing participant in tomato falsehoods (seriously)... That kind of irks me.
Thanks for the heads-up.8)
