Default And still they come...harvest 7 25 07

They're starting to slow down though. Heat is taking it's toll. Still not a bad haul.

Radiator Charlie, a few Kellog's Breakfast, Lemon Boy, Box Car Willie and some Champion thrown in for good measure.

I have 10 plants total, but only a single variety of each.

So each type came from a single plant.

Wow, incredible! Are you counting the number of tomatoes that you get from each plant? If yes: how many have you harvested so far, and if not: now many do you assume you have harvested?

Way to go and again: Thanks for the mouth watering pictures!

That's an amazing single day production for just 10 plants, although from what I've heard varieties like Box Car Willie and Kellog's Breakfast can be pretty prolific. Are those sorts of yields typical for Southern CA or are you doing something special?

That's what he harvested in one day from just 5 plants if you read it correctly.
Amazing production! Can't wait till my plants start putting out ripe fruit.

Hilde - no I haven't kept track. I know lots of folks like to, but
I don't. I just eat them and make sauce!

Probably around 250 or so, not counting the Tigerellas
(golf ball size) and the cherry tomatoes. Probably 75-100
Tigerellas and a couple hundred cherries.

kdawg39 - that's a very heavy yield actually, both in numbers
and in size. Not sure how the other SoCal folks are doing.
Didn't do anything very special that I'm aware of. It's a new
garden with lots of Kellog's AMEND and coffee grounds. Also
have grass clipping mulch dug in from last year. But only in
part of it. Over half of it is brand new this year.

I think the weather this year helped a lot. Usually we have
'June gloom' all though (obviously) June. Cloudy with cool
temperatures. This year very little June gloom and warmer temps.

Correction to that Tigerella count. Just went and looked at the
picture from a previous post and there's 75 tomatoes on that
day alone.

Better make that 150 Tigerellas at least!

Too bad I'm not that fond of them.
