Plenty of tomatoes but...
it seems like there is very little leaf growth at the top 1/3 of the plants. They are very full at the bottom and they then thin out significantly. Can I do anything to encourage more leaves to grow. There are numerous tomatoes developing but most are exposed to the direct sun as the leaves are so sparse. I fed with a diluted solution of MG last week but I have not noticed more leaf growth.

It has been my experience that once fruit set begins, my plants do not grow much more in the way of foliage. This might be because they are now directing their energy into producing fruit.
With my shorter New England growing season I take what I can get and applying fertilizer at this stage doesn't seem to do much.

nettle tea (high in nitrogen) is said to stimulate leaf growth, maybe you can give it a boost with this.... it's pretty harmless if it fails to do the trick so worth a try
