Default height growing light

I have the 15W LED Spot White.
How high should it hang above my plants?

I believe 2 to 3 inches, dus 5 a 8 cm boven je plantjes.

Just place a thermometer next to the seedlings and keep a temperature of 20-22C° (68-71F°) by raising or lowering the lamp. Check that the entire area is correctly lit, even if you lose some degrees. If you lose to much light you can add a fan driven by a thermostat or a timer to cool everything.

I asked someone from the webshop I bought it and 2 to 3 inches is indeed the minimum.

I don,t know about LD, spotlight style. With FL I keep them anywhere from an inch to 3.obviously, as the seedings grow you need to lift the light higher in order to keep the distance at about the same. FL do not get very hot. Even if the bulb ie almost touching ,it won,t burn the plant/seedling
The distance is a factor to control the amount of light intensity.

We can't generalize, some T5's and T8's fluorescent tubes emit a lot of heat. Testing is easy : just lay a finger on the mix, you will then decide if you should check with a thermometer. I always had trouble with these tubes till I replaced them with LED's.

Yea, I'm in the "almost close as possible without burning plant," camp, which is usually 2-3 inches for flourescents, not 100% sure about leds.
