Elgin Pink
I’m finally growing this tomato, but find it interesting that a few of the leaves are variegated.

Where did you get it? Didn’t see any info on it.
Pics? Thanks Greg |

Gary’s/Tormato’s seed swap. I can see if I have more seed. There is an older thread on Elgin Pink here.

I have grown it for several years and have it going again now. Just an excellent all time favorite for me. In fact, for my taste buds, I often just seem to compare others to it. It seems just the right balance of sweetness with acid and plenty meaty. I would love seeds if you decide to share of your variegated strain. Happy to trade my strain to you as well!

As for me, I've grown it once. It remains the single most over-the-top sweetest pink beefsteak I've ever trialed. If I closed my eyes, I'd think it was a bi-color. Seeing reviews for the past couple of years that describe it as more balanced in flavor, leads me to believe that I don't have the "true " EP. My trial was back when it was just being released, and likely not yet stable. After many years, I'm again trialing the original seed that I received. It's already produced both RL and PL plants. Time will tell what the fruit is. |

Yes, it may be crossed or not even Elgin Pink. I only have one plant growing and it is PL. Most of the plant is green, so I don’t know if the variegation will continue.

The one I have grown for several years has always been a vigorous PL producing meaty, balanced
just great fruit. Gary if you want my stain to try, am happy to send. It has produced the same results for several years, |
