Default Pro-Mix on Sale

FYI, for all us folks whose season has ended and are expecting snow soon. I went to one of the big box stores yesterday and saw Pro-Mix for potting on sale. 2 cubic feet, compressed bales for $10.00, regular price $14.

Home Depot. But, not all Home Depots in my area carry Pro-Mix, you may have to look or call around.

I will check that out. I start buying and hauling my bags to the back during the winter so when spring comes I am not running back and forth, I am just planting

I was at my local HD and out in the garden center they had a nasty looking pallet of Pro-Mix...several of the bags were torn. I hope to go back today to find it on sale...two years ago I hit a sale for $2 bag...told my neighbors and we bought the remaining 20 bags.

$10-14 IS the going rate for Pro-Mix. It's 2.2 cu ft compressed, expanding to 4 cu ft when broken up. I cut it with a $2 bag of non-dyed shredded pine bark and it yields about 50 gallons of potting mix for $16.

I don't know any other way to get potting mix that cheap.
