Default My first Tomato this year.

Cherokee purple 61 days from plant out. 9 ounces on my scale. I came home from work this morning and found this ripe beuty ready to eat. My wife and I enjoyed it with toast for breakfast.

I have all kinds of fruit set. Brandywine , one plant has 9 set so far, Cherokees Purples.. I didn't count.. alot...Red Brandywine..doing well. LGS's are getting much larger (the tomatos with no sign of a color change or softeening yet. Jubilee. Much much more to come.

Compared side by side with the grocery store tomatoes we had on hand...of course the grocery store tomato ended up in the compost.

People laugh at me because during the off season when I make salads for myself, I generally omit the tomatoes. They ask, why, if you love tomatoes so much? You pretty much summed up my response
