This time of the year and so many big tomatoes.
Great production. Wow. Congratulations, AKmark. Are they from open garden or greenhouse?

That's a sweet harvest bounty!
It's great to see such good results with your outdoor tomatoes too. Your outdoor fruit look really clean - very nice quality indeed. I think where we have it wetter, there are usually a lot more culls outdoors than in the greenhouse. The plastic mulch (we used that also) was a help for fruit that sprawled over onto the ground, keeping them clean, but still there was a fair bit of damage. |

Ella, they are from the greenhouse. I got hit with a hard frost outside, but did save portions of the plants with plastic cover. I did grow some BW outside this year, I was happy to get a few ripe fruits, not the best choice for gardens up here though.
Thanks for the compliments, we have about 5 weeks to go before I shut down and sterilize all the greenhouses. |

Hi AKmark
Ive really enjoyed reading this thread, im from the UK and its nice to see others growing in Northern/less than perfect places. If you ever have any spare seeds from the potato leaf black krim x bloody butcher id love to try them, be happy to cover all costs etc One variety I would recommend is an english heirloom called outdoor girl, its a cold tolerant potato leaf variety and this year ive found it to be a 2-3 weeks earlier than bloody butcher. Be happy to send you some seeds to try. |

I can send you some of that one, but that it is PL Black Krim X PL Early Girl. I am collecting seed for next year, I will get back to you, send an address so I don't forget. I will explain more to you.

My Delicious Experience
I grew Delicious from seed saved by a friend who thought they were huge and very delicious. I found them to be as pictured, good yield, fairly large and the taste was just like red tomatoes usually taste.
