Barb, I googled Arvarski pepper and the only thing that came up was your post in this thread. Can you please tell us about it. I also tried Adjarski, (see Florida TAG thread)but dead ended there too. No luck at Tatiana's either.

Marsha, it is Ajvarski. Barb gave me some seeds and I love this pepper. It is my new favorite sweet pepper.

Ajvarski Pepper
"Ajvarski- sweet red peppers with excellent flavor, bred for roasting, but outstanding for any cooking. The Macedonians roast them, peel them, grind them up, and mix them with oil into a paste they call ajvar. They eat it on bread like peanut butter."

Ginny - here you go:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/214893/...-tomato-salsa/ --- Ginger - Sorry about poor spelling. It really is dynamite; Do you want me to send you seeds now or keep one of the plants I bring. You will be busy with all that sowing / labeling. I also have Enjoya seeds that I got in the mail while away. I started them on Saturday with the paper towel method and on 8/30 put them in mix and some have popped through. Hopefully, they produce striped peppers. -- Kay - Awhile back you posted about adding Bone Meal to mix when leaves (pepper) are tight/curly. ALL of the leaves on every Jimmy Nardello seedling are leathery/tight not at all like the ghost peppers which are growing right next to them. The Ghosts are all bushy. The stems on the Jimmy N. are nice and green so they are not actively dying. Any ideas? Also - Is there a favorite Bone Meal to buy? |

Barb, do check for insects because that can cause leaf distortion but if it is nutritional then the bone meal will help. I always add a few tablespoons to each container in addition to using Tomatotone.
My micro tomatoes are setting fruit now. Pinochhio Orange was the first, Red Robin 2nd and Baby just set some fruit. Baby is only 3 inches tall so it is funny to see it with little tomatoes. |

Barb, I have curly leafs on my last in a row pepper as well every year. It is next to my neighbors house and the dryer has vent right there. It just dislikes the scent of the laundry. (allergies)
Sometimes other things than insects responsible for that curling.
