Do not forget all the projects that you are involved in. That is how you end up with 100 plants, Marsha. I do not know how you manage them all.

Awesome pictures Marsha! Everything is dead around here, all we can do is dream of spring time. I live south of Atlanta and battle the summer heat and humidity and all the problems they bring. It's great to see your garden flourishing in conditions much worse than mine. Congratulations!

Marsha,
I have in my notes that I received a "winsall pl" from your offer last year, that's the same seed as your "not winsall pl" right? I think its obvious but I just wanted to be sure its the same... unless I got the seeds from another source! Al |

Maybe Sample Seeds Shop's Plan 9 From Outer Space is a yellow version so Solar Flare you are referring to.

Marsha, I wonder if you could share a little more about Rebel Alliance with us. In what way is it spectacular?

Nancy,
I stumbled upon this website when I was looking for pictures and information on a variety named Buffalo Soldier. When I browsed the site I found they had what they are calling solar flare yellow strain.. http://www.vertiloom.com/en/solar-fl...ow-strain.html But they don't really give the details on where its from, etc.. The flavor is very good, but the spectacular part is the 300-500 flower bloom clusters, most do set fruit, some form first, then the second pass of hundreds more off the same inflorescense start to swell for a second go around. The plant is only about 5' tall, so much bang for the garden space. And there are several bloom spikes of course.

Just ate an Everett's Rusty Oxheart. The last several have been just wonderful. 9/10 taste and so pretty. The first few were rotting but it must have bern my conditions, this vine is turning into a tomato machine. And now they are all rusty outside with a green shoulder, bicolor green with pink streaks, all heart shaped too. I think I really really like this one now. Amazing what a difference a month makes.
