It was the sweetest salad I had so far this season.

Quote:
There were folks who were saying blueberry and referring to the so called purple one bred in England, and I still don't know if that one was released. But the English one is a GMO and has inserted a gene from a snapdragon, not a blueberry gene. At another site there have been several comments, negative, possibly here as well, about not liking the taste of Indigo Rose when comparing it with several others of the unstable ones that Tom Wagner was selling seeds for or even those making crosses with primarily OSU P 20. Ever since someone sent me some P20 fruits and I ate them, anything having to do with anything derived from P20 is permanently off my grow lists, forever, unless someone comes up with something that really tastes great. To me, and sorry for this, all of them are what I call novelty varieties, but I know many like working with them, so if I stand alone, I stand alone.

Carolyn, you are funny, as always
I am sure someone will breed lots of great flavors into these curiosities one day! They look very striking, both on the vine and picked. Every person who visited me notices them

Great as usual, but fruits are more ribbed this year - well, many of my tomatoes are ribbed this year!

Grosse Cotelee - Sept 7
These are 2 smaller fruits - unfortunately the largest fruit got spoiled on the vine after some critter sampled it.

Perfectly smooth and blemish free, as they should be. Taste test is pending.

Marz Green - Sept 7
Finally a correct one from the numerous plantings - a muddy green/orange skin with green flesh. Very unusual appearance.

This one is different from Maryland Large Red. It is a large red heart.

Another Russian yellow heart shaped tomato. I got some very interesting fruit shapes from this one!
