Tania, beautiful photos of beautiful tomatoes! Part of me is hoping that some of the tomatoes I'm growing this year won't make the cut, so I can fit in all the new tomatoes I want to grow next year. I may just have to rip out what's left of the lawn and add some beds to the parking strips!

Hi Marie, I know the feeling too well!
I think this would be the first year when I did not attempt to create any new beds for tomatoes, and that was for health reasons. Otherwise, we would have had another 12x24' greenhouse sitting on our lawn area.

Another cross discovered yesterday when I went to check why my Pearly Pinks are not yet ready in a greenhouse while they are producing in the open ground. Well, it appeared to be NOT Pearly Pink growing in the GH! Small to medium flattened round fruits with some ribbed shoulders. The color looks 'pearly' also, so I suspect it is a cross of Pearly Pink with a larger pink tomato. The seeds wee from a commercial source.
So far only 2 wrong ones from commercial sources, so it is not so bad!

Ferris Wheel NOT - Sept 8
And yet another cross discovered! Ferris Wheel that is supposed to be a large pink is producing medium size fruits that have some very interesting coloration - they start ripening from glowing orange color, and if left on the vine for too long they turn red (but they are too soft at this stage, I think they are overripe when fully red). First I thought I had a somatic mutation when I saw fruits of different colors on the same vine! But no, it is just another interesting coloring.
I can only wonder what Ferris Wheel crossed with in the grower garden!

Turks Muts NOT - Red - Sept 8
And another cross!
1 Turks Muts plant is Rl and producing red fruits. They are looking pretty good, so I am going to taste it and decide if I want to save seeds and regrow it in the future.

NOT Big Ben - Sept 8
And another wrong variety! This year I have so many of these showing up...
Big Ben is supposed to be a large pink beefsteak, but this one turned out to be red. Luckily I have Big Ben plants from a different seed source that seem to be growing true.

Brown Flesh - Sept 8
This variety seems to be segregating. I got seeds from 2 different souces, and fruits are different in size - some are small and round, and the others are medium size, slightly ribbed and oblate. 2 plants were offtypes, producing small red fruits and medium brown fruits with no stripes.
I think the correct one should be the medium brown with stripes, the one shown on the pictures.

Galina's Red - Sept 8
A no-name Russian tomato, seeds from my mother who collected them from her friend Galina, who has been growing it every year. She did not remember its name.
First fruit is very ruffled, but the later fruits are smooth - I will take pictures of them later.
