My immediate thought was "Midnight Streaker" and that name reminds me of some shenanigans in a previous life...

The color pattern makes me think of the Aurora Borealis. Whatever name you settle on, it looks like a real winner.

Beautiful tomatoes, worthy of an equally great name.
It does get harder to find unused ones, however, so careful checking is needed to prevent confusion. http://t.tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Aurora |

"true colours" will be the name of my green bicolour potato leaf heart.
So there are four in this Series now at F5: all clear epidermis hearts on large potato leaf plants. Midnight sun Polaris Tundra True colours ( a take on True North Tomatoes which is what I call my projects. I am thankful for your interest in my breeding projects and look forward to being able to share stable seed with everyone. Now that these selections are narrowed down to four and stabilizing, I have room to begin a growout and select some of the F2 from another There are some beautiful beefsteaks with interesting form and coloration both RL and PL. My dad who died in 2014 was always interested in my Tomatoes. He was a farmer, an actual cowboy and a horseman and I intend to use this as the inspiration for another "True North Tomatoes" series from my crosses. Karen,Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and to everyone at TV. I cannot wait till you release your seeds. Growing them in Montreal will be a great testing ground and I would be honoured to grow your wonderful tomatoes. You are a true North Inspiration!

Thank you for your positivity and encouragement to me and my little projects since the very beginning. I really do appreciate that and you and a number of others who have encouraged me along the way will be among the first to be offered stable see to try as soon as I think they are ready. Heading in to the F5 and the green and the yellowbicolour hearts especially are showing uniformity already. I am going to try and squeak out the F6 too this year...so we are getting there but I do not wish to release unstable seed. Thank you very much for staying interested and for your support since the beginning KarenO Happy new year! |
