That thing was the first year HD was their own company again in 1982.
It may have looked good but was one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever had. It vibrated like a lawnmower with an out of balance blade. It was top heavy. From brand new on it use a quart of oil every 5 to 600 miles they all did. The handle bars made you fight the wind all of the time so you were constantly pulling to keep from being blown off of it. The 28 degree rake picked up every groove in the road and drove you nuts. When trucks came by you were blown half way across the road and back again. This is the Motorcycle I have now. Low center of gravity doesn't vibrate long 34 degree rake so trucks and the road doesn't bother it. Have never had to put oil in it. Flat drag bar for handle bars so I dont have to fight the wind. Very nice, Ginny. I made homemade noodles once or twice a year to make my DH happy. Holiday time!

Thank you, Carrie and Ella.
Worth, my husband appreciates my cooking now. When we were first married 35 years ago, not so much! I thought I was a good little southern cook, but his Midwestern farming taste buds were not very appreciative of my cooking. He still wont let me forget all these years later how I tried to barbecue venison ribs one year.. Ginny |

He would leave the ribs and neck hanging in the tree. My brother and I would go out and cut this stuff up salt and pepper it and smoke dry in in the BBQ pit till it was completely dried out. We then had something to gnaw on during the late night movie. Between my brother and I we kept the place well stocked in meat from hunting fishing raising animals and so on. His place was my home away from my place I had in the oil field. I had my own bed room and every thing and was always welcome to stay as long as I wanted. Thank you for the dear rib story it brought back many good memories of my brother and I. We were inseparable even though he was almost 20 years older than me. Worth |
