Here are a few returns and favorites for my 2016 garden..
Tree Bottom Yellow Purple Dog Creek Margaret Curtain Brandywine Brandywine Cowlicks Brandywine Suddath Madame (Marmande) Garnier Rouge German Johnson Potato Leaf Greenbush Italian Amish Paste George Ditsikas (Did not do well last year, but, giving it another try) Neves Azorean Red I might have left a few off the list. I had planned on bringing a few others back because they did well for me in my garden and I loved the flavor, (Like Red Barn) but, I wanted to try a few new to me varieties that I heard good things about. I am growing a number of new varieties this year that I purchased or received in trades, or from the generous good hearted folk here at Tville.. I also have a number of new ones that I purchased, but, decided to wait to grow out next season. I have already started more than I planned on, and at times have already felt over whelmed. I am giving away a number of my plants. PS: I dropped Sungold F1 after growing it for a number of years. I loved it, but, I had so many cherries off of it last season, and I found myself getting sick of the sweet flavor. Trying a few new ones. I am also bringing back Coyote and Champagne Ginny Last edited by barefootgardener; April 21, 2016 at 12:04 PM. |

It seems Black Cherry is a favorite comeback of many, myself included.
Making a comeback for me this year is Green Zebra (the only plant I have 2 of), Black Krim, Isis Cherry, Sweetie Seedless, Chocolate Cherry, Sweet Pea, Aunt Ruby's Green, Malakhitovaya, Chocolate Stripes, Black from Tula and possibly Cherokee Green- which I can't remember if I grew last year, or not. Appreciate all who replied to the OP's question as it helped me to decide some of the new varieties I would plant this year! |

It is so encouraging to read everyone's lists. Even most of the Master Gardener's around here don't grow as many types of tomatoes and peppers as I do, but some of you have left me in the dust. I know it is not a competition, but fun to see many familiar varieties on many lists.
Here is my list- I plant to plant at least two of each Big Beef Mortgage Lifter Amish Paste Yellow Mortgage Lifter Sungold (F1) Pompeii(F1) indeterminate paste Peppermint Opalka Chocolate Cherry Early Girl(F1) Reinstraub Peppers- we don't like much heat Yum Yum(F1) Round of Hungary Sheepnose Pimento College 64 Cubanelle Carmen(F1) Neapolitan Oda Golden Treasure Stocky Red Roaster Jalapeno I also grow ground cherries and have grown pineapple and Aunt Molly's and could not tell the difference when grown side by side. Now mostly let volunteers grow so don't really know the heredity. |

How good was the taste/production/earliness/size of the plant/anything else you like to add ... about Rose De Berne? I am growing it for the first time.
Thank you, Marc_groleau.

Nothing is returning to my garden this year - not my old favorites Cherokee Purple, Green Zebra, Japanese Black Trifele or Black Cherokee.
I have limited sunlight so I am rolling the dice for 6 dwarfs plus Orange Jazz, Grandpa White's Red Tomato and 2 other new ones. I hope I will not be diappointed!
