Angelique, I hate to do it to you but this was my lunch today.

After a hard morning of watering, pruning, tying, and bagging it was time to take a lunch break and have the first tomato sandwich of the season. I wish I could say I grew it myself but it’s from the Farmers Market on Sunday. One seller gets an early start in greenhouses so he has tomatoes to sell now. I thought $3.50 a pound was pretty reasonable for heirlooms this time of year.

A Cherokee Purple sandwich with a side salad of Black Prince, fresh mozzarella, and fresh picked Basil from the garden. NOW, that’s decadence! Ahhhhhh…I’m stuffed.

Nope, the cheese and bread are store bought. Maybe "wet-pack" is a better term than fresh.

angelique,

I agree, deep inside that humorous facade lurks a sadistic side to bruce.

Bruce....
got my plants in the ground March 29th and crossed my fingers!!
I have some pretty nice sized maters on most of my 25+ plants, but have had a CRAZY amount of blossom drop on my raised bed plants!

"gosh darnoodley"?

I think the cursing blocker is definitely possessed by Ned Flanders!
