my lights run from mid feb to mid may. i have 4 sets of double tube T8 shop lights and initially i use 1 set. as i have more plants more sets are used. i did not have to replace any tubes until i think it was last year. i had a shop light fixture go bad too that may be the one that i start using in mid feb so it has the most use.

thanks for all the replies.
seeing both responces on using them 24/7 verses 16/8 a day. myself, I do both methods. really cant tell much of a difference, like Fusion mentioned, I will have to agree, Tomatoes love the lights, and it cannot hurt them. |

You can get by just fine with 10-12hrs per day. Think of how much energy your going to save.

How would you feel if the lights were bright 24/7 in your bedroom?
