wow Mike, that is a beautiful tomato! Glad it was a good one. Shape reminds me so much of the Danko I have growing, quite pointy hearts.

Looks as if they are mini-hearts?? Or maybe even plums. Hard to tell, but they do look very nice!

Damon, they are hearts, they have a point at the end and you can definitely tell with the ones in the garden because the plant is loaded with them and they are really consistent. They are about 3 inches top to bottom, so they are smallish.

So if you can't figure out what this is or where it came from, do we have a new Mudman's Heart in the works if it turns out to be stable in a year or two?

Well it definetly seems to be something new, so I am going to grow out as many of the F2 as I can a see what comes up. Not sure if I will go with Mudman's Heart though.

The first one I ate reminded me a green tomato, with a sort of zing to it. I let the next one ripen up a bit more till it was almost soft. I was scared it was too ripe, but it was still meaty and firm in the middle and reminded me of the taste of a Sungold with little gel and very few seeds. Taste is outstanding in my opinion. Very exciting.
