I'd love to see a photo of your pointy Pink Boars, Jennifer! Are growing them from your own saved seed? How do they taste?

Default those darned pointy pink boars

So here are the pics of the pink boars. I have some mushroom shaped fruits, and some pointy ones. All have the pink boar striping starting to develop.

The first photo shows a more mushroom-y shaped pink boar. The subsequent photos show pointy and pointier fruits. The tomato on top in the last photo seems to be the pointiest.

Oh well, I hope it tastes good.

LOL worth do you like my chipped nail polish in photo #2? I chipped it cutting cucumbers in the cooking class today. And my hands are dry from all the washing and cooking haha

so yes I suppose if they were a man's hands they would be nice, but they are a bit worn for a woman's hands.

This link has a photo and a description of pink boar. It doesn't look all pointy like the tomatoes in my photos. Oh well. Like I said, as long as they taste good...

http://www.localharvest.org/rare-tom...ink-boar-C7767

and here it is on Wild Boar Farm's web site

http://www.wildboarfarms.com/

apparently pink boar is from black and brown boar.

I like the pointy Pink Boars! Nice shapes you've got there!

I've got Black and Brown Boar this year (I also grew it last year) and the localharvest link looks a lot like them, although I think the B&B Boars are a bit more elongated.

I picked these two B&B Boars on Sunday. It's now on my "grow every year" list. Nice black tomato flavor in a smaller, faster-to-ripen package. If you're determined enough, you can even slice one for a sandwich! Hey, I'm an impatient girl sometimes.

Nancy, I have an Indian Stripe heart, seeds sent to me last Fall or in early winter, can't remember who right now, and I have one plant here and Shoe is doing the seed production.

If it's weather that's caused heart shapes or pointy tips, saving seeds from them seldom will give you the same thing back as I've found in the past, but no problem with trying.

Someone sent me seeds from an Orange Minsk Heart last year ( would have to check who that was but I think Big Daddy) and last summer I was so pleased to see that it did turn out to be a heart, but we didn't get enough seeds so it too is being grow out for seed production this summer.

And the OM heart I really loved and am looking forward to the Indian Stripe Heart one which I listed in my grow out list this past Spring here at Tville, along with the IS Heart one.

Whenever I read something about some foods being Heart Healthy I know what they mean but to me it means great tomato heart varieties.
