My favorite has turned out to be the plant that I have been growing from the Sweet 100 hybrid.

like, or is similar to Matt's Wild Cherry. I'd be a happy camper. I love the Matt's, but there are just too little. |

I guess I need to try some other varieties of red cherries, but I think it would be hard to beat the Black Cherries!

I grew Super Sweet 100's and Sweet Million, but my favorite is Casino Chips which for me has old time tomato flavor. They are large enough that you don't have to pick a million of them to get a taste. Eat them plain or cut them in half to toss in any dish. And the 2 yrs. I've grown them, the plant has been very healthy and very productive.

Fruity Cherry is another one I really loved. It goes through a pale orange stage before turning red, but it is very good in both phases.

I'm growing Wow! and love them. Apparently they're having issues with them because the Fedco catalog says

Sakura F1 from Enza Zaden. Best tasting, best disease resistance, best productivity, bar none. Available from Johnny's selected seeds. A must try.

I REALLY want to try Casino Chips. It sounds like the cherry tomatoes I grew up on, "tomato flavor" and not sweet.
I sure hope to get the seed. |

And one of the three red cherries I grew this year was Durmtorske, a red heirloom from Serbia and if all goes well with the person doing the seed production I hope to offer that one as well. Truly one of the best red cherries I've grown in a long time and I too liked Casino Chips as well.

Thank you ! I really am hoping to find that "lost" cherry tomato from my childhood.
Every year I hunt through the stores for Rome apples-the big, round red ones that are red-veined. Love those ! |

Deborah, I answered you in the other thread as well, and yes, I did say that I thought I'd have enough Casino Chips for my next seeds offer which isn't the same as promising a specific person seeds.
So as I said in the other thread it seems we've got that issue solved.
