clarified hydrophobic neem extract uses alcohol to seperate the oil, and the azidarachtin is basically removed.
Tests have shown that azadirachtin is effective in some cases at concentrations as low as 1 ppm, but some producers use alcohol or steam in the extraction of neem oil from plant parts, which causes the azadirachtin to be removed from the oil or diminishes the amount of azadirachtin in the product as well as its effectiveness. http://www.co2extract.com/neem_soft_extract.html Better product is the cold pressed neem oil for the actual azadirachtin. I just purchased 16 oz of cold pressed neem oil on ebay for about $18 including shipping. No way to know if product is actually as described, but seller has 99.7% satisfied customers, so that is a plus!

Coolbythecoast you realize you live in an area with the highest concentration of hydroponics shops, this side of Oakland. Any of those shops would have a version or pre-mixed of cold pressed Neem Oil. I buy a new batch each year and so far haven't found store that didnt have it.

Found out that it's not a virus. Caused by potato psyllid, either Psyllid Yellows or Candidatus Liberibacter Solanacearum, or both! Becoming more and more of a problem in Southwest regions that are frost free, even though it is a best kept secret. To know more: http://ucanr.edu/sites/VCMG/Tomato_Psyllid_Infestation/
