If grown from the last century,it probably is RL since almost the first PL variety offered to the public was Magnus,on the cover of the original Livingston seed company.

You can check Victory Seeds online to double check.

Same as well for Indiana and on the other side and they can grow any variety they want to, so I'm a bit at sea about this b'c almost all of them,like the rest of most of us,have grown Brandywines,different strains/versions and they do very well, yes in the more northen climes, but not often so great in the deeper south.

Here's a list of PL varieties from Tania's site and I could pick out MANY that would work well for you if you want to continue looking for just non Brandywine PL's

Please pardon my correction here, I just think I should mention these 2. Dana's is RL, its growing right now, seeds from Dana, also the PL version of Wins all isn't the correct one, it should be RL, according to Tatiana's. I am offering the PL incorrect version in my seed offer though, because it was wonderful.

I received my Wins All (notice spelling) from Heirloom Seeds. They do spell it differently and also list it as PL. I found this one to be an excellent tomato. Gosh, now I have to go find Winsall and compare the two. Winsall and Wins All must be two different tomatoes??? Does anyone know the answer to this?

The answer is that the correct name is Wins ALL and that b/c there was a naming contest and the winning name for it b/c it was that good was that it won all ,as in Wins ALL.

As Tania said in her link to it,some sources distribute a PL version which is not correct.

Since Wins All and Winsall are the same,but please all use the correct name of Wins All, the correct leaf form is RL.

There are many variants of orginal RL's to PL's, by mutation usually,whether it be Kellogg's Breakfast(KB) RL to KBX (PL) or Cherokee Purple to two different PL forms,and many more examples,one can never really be sure that the mutation to PL affected only leaf form, and many have compared the RL and PL versions of a single variety and end up disagreeing about that,in other words,no consensus.
