Salt, do post about the taste of the Gargamel. It does look lovely and I am attracted to dark tomatoes and the darker, brickier colored flesh.

I just made up a word, LOL, "brickier".

lol Brickier ...I am a seventh generation Brickier and Stone Mason... That doesn't sound right.

I'll post here about the Gargamel. I'm just guessing it is ripe. The unripe ones look more like little eggplants and are hard as a rock. This one is softer and has changed colors.

It doesn't sound right at all, does it?! LOL.

But it does describe some of the reddish brown dark "old brick " color tomatoes....

I have grown Solar Flare for 2 seasons. Very sweet and delicious in my garden. Mine look like Raybo's.

I am so hoping for lots of good tomatoes this year. There are at least 2 Solar Flare tomatoes out there, so hope they are tasty grown here, too.

I cut out a rabbet in some cinder block at work on a painted wall inside with a hammer and chisel.
Looked like someone did it with a saw.

This Gargamel tastes a little more acidic than sweet, but you can taste the sweetness. It is an interesting taste that isn't off-the-wall different. This one is one that's hard to quit eating. I would suggest slicing it thin because the skin is pretty thick. I could see making a BLT with it even though it is not more than 2 - 2.5 oz... My review after eating only one Gargamel tomato would be that it is worth growing...which is pretty high on my picky tomato taste scale.

-or- Robert talking to imp = I'll save you some seeds
