My citrus and a few figs growing nicely in our sunroom. I have 2 Dwarf Meijer Lemon, one Mexican Key Lime and nine various figs that I started from cuttings in late winter of 2014. I over wintered the figs in our cool basement, and brought up two of them in March when they started to leaf out early. I also have two dwarf Musa Brazilian Bananas that I received as small tissue culture plants last spring.

Here is my Strawberry Verte Fig with three developing figs. I hope the figs stay on the leaflet and mature fully without falling off. I heard many good things about the tasty fruit. I am excited to taste my first fresh fig grown off my own tree/bush.

Thank you beryman and Ella!

Ella, your parsley reached 4 feet? Wow! I think I would like a few of those seeds! What variety are they? My parsley will get up to 2 feet tall at the most before they start to set seed. I grow the flat leaf Italian Parsley.

It is lambing season around our farm and one of our Shetland ewe sheep, Eliza, had beautiful twin lambs three weeks back. One ram lamb and a ewe lamb. Both were born healthy and are thriving. Mama is a wonderful mother. So far we have four healthy baby lambs born this past month, two ram lambs and two ewe lambs. Cuteness overload... We have been very busy on the farm.. I love this time of year!!

Hi. I just read through this whole thread. You are a great gardener, an artist in the kitchen and with your camera, and I only have one question:

Do you take on boarders?

I would come visit to pet the lambs. They are precious. You could start a new business.

Ginny, I am not sure on the name of the variety. Few years ago I purchased few different once. One of them just kicked ...
I collected seeds.

Beautiful pictures, btw.

Are you growing your fig tree in a pot or the ground? I love figs and especially green when ripe and an amazing variety that isn't supposed to be cold hardy enough for DFW called Tiger Stripe or Panache Figs. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to baby it in a pot and bring it inside in winter, or plant it in the ground and hope that we have more mild winters around here like we've been having.
