I grew Odoriko last year, and well, it's still going strong as reborn cuttings. Decided to purchase more seeds for fresh transplants. It consistently produces beautiful medium sized orbs, with very good flavor and texture; trusses are 3-4 each, with abundant vigor and solid disease resistance. Head-to-head with Eva Purple Ball, the Japanese hybrid was significantly more productive and disease resistant, while producing practically identical fruit. This year I have Momotaro a few weeks ahead of it so I get to try them side-by-side.
Just a great hybrid. |

Great pic.
Have you grown Tarasenko 6? They are my best-looking plants in the high tunnel. |

Dropped a lot of seeds, some to replace fizzled out ones, some to prepare for autumn, some as part of the never-ending search for preciouses. Many of these coaxed from their slumber using coffee filter in ziploc w dilute Nitrate sol., then transferred to Jiffy seed starting mix and then the party gets started.

Betalux is looking like the early production winner among my red dwarfs. My odd weather has caused Cyril's Choice, Mano, and Bosky to set mostly cherry-sized fruit.
How does the Tarasenko 6 taste? Do you like it better than Russian Soul? I am just about to try my first ones. Russian Soul and Productive from Altai are both showing good shelf life, sitting on my kitchen counter in hot weather. |

Russian Soul got better as I moved up the plant. Good shelf life here too. Last edited by Gerardo; June 21, 2016 at 11:05 AM. |

Heat damage and a Larisa sliced
It was really hot for a few days. When I harvested the tomatoes they felt as if they'd been in the oven.
Some damage: heat wave ouch tv.jpg Here's a pretty Larisa, I really enjoyed it. Fairly compact plant, somewhat wispy, and VERY productive. Mild flavor, not acid, great texture, I dig it. Made a batch of pasta sauce with nothing but Larisa and it just disappeared. larisa tv.jpg larisa sliced tv.jpg |

What am I supposed to do with your post 353 as in making check marks in the boxes indicating which ones I've grown and and what I thought of them?
I guess no way I can do that. But I certainly agree with the excellence of Fresa and I sent seeds of it to Ilex in Spain since he didn't have it. http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/w...b=General_Info My seeds from Clara, aka Sylvia, a really great one for me and obviously Tania as well. Carolyn
