I have a ring of tomatoes planted around a weeping cherry tree in the field beside the house. I tilled the ring, added about 3 inches of the compost and tilled it in before planting 30 tomato plants.
In my garden, doing the same would take far more than the 3 loads of compost I have and so I am looking at pulling a middle buster plow down the center of each row to make a trench and planting my tomatoes there. (Unless someone offers a better way or points out problems with this one) My question is this, should I add/side dress with 10-10-10 or not ? |
