Marsha/ginger2778 had seeds offer and I was lucky to get this one. She is planning to have another seeds offer soon. As far as I know it is not available anywhere else. I read about it couple of years ago and it is an interesting story about someone's dog that liked tomatoes. Hopefully Marsha will have it in her other offer.

Ice cherry had a good flavor a bit less sweet than black cherry however it had a nice slightly smokey black flavor. Ii would grow it again. As for Gargamel i have yet to tast it. I will post shen i do.

My only unusualu tomato is Indigo Rose.
They have different color on them when unripe. Then they turn plum red.

This (Post #31) is an F1 Hybrid between a Sunrise Bumblebee-type tomato and a Red Bumblebee-type tomato. It is one of many F1 hybrids we are currently evaluating and it will only be released if it grades out as exceptional (compared to all similar OP and hybrid varieties we are currently working on).

It has been pre-released to some Collaborating Members of our little seed company -- Artisan Seeds (including Heirloomtomaguy).

Since I have breeding partnerships, I am not free to broadly send out un-released varieties I am working on. However, we do pre-release to Collaborating Members so that we can get feedback on how our varieties perform.

I have mixed feelings about discussing this tomato here, mainly because it is not available, and there are so many other interesting and available varieties to discuss.

However, I would like to discuss this tomato, and others sent to collaborating members, at a new facebook group for our Collaborating Members community.

I am going to leave this page open for awhile as we will be accepting new members until September 1st. At that time, the facebook page will only be available to Collaborating Members and our research affiliates.

If you have an interest in trialing this variety and/or similar ones, please consider our Collaborating Membership program. Scaled over the 10 years that you will receive some of our best new varieties to trial, it is a real bargain.

Ella, you could save seeds and offer it. Why not?

I can't remember if it is on my grow list for this coming season, because there will be many new and unusual ones.
