The Sept/Oct 2011 issue of Hobby Farms has an article on building a greenhouse from window panes. I just checked it out at our local library. It looks like it might be of some help to those of us that are not so naturally good at building things!

LOL! The GH looks like a jungle come mid to late summer. My grape vines, at only one year, grew up and over the peak of the roof. Had some beautiful table grapes.
I look forward to seeing your pictures Zach!! Thank you Bluebonnet! Robin, thank's for posting, I love Hobby farms magazine and that issue will deff. give others some helpful ideas for building GH. from window panes. I have almost enough used doors/windows saved to build another G.H, although it would be smaller in size. Bobberman, thanks for the tip on the swiss chard, unfortunately I pulled the rest up that were too mature and fed it to my goats and chickens, they really enjoyed it!! But will try to give it a go this season. I planted nasturtiums the first year in GH and they sure were pretty... Ginny |
