Raybo, I planted 10 seeds and only got 3 to germinate, all RL. My fault, we were keeping the thermostat for the house around 65 to conserve energy, I had the trays over a heat duct and thought this might help, but not enough. Subsequent germinations with a heating pad turned out much better. Looks like its time to buy a heat mat. Still have a few BWC seeds, I will plant this week in hopes of getting a PL. Thanx again and good luck to all.

Hi Raybo, I planted 15 seeds on 3-27-2012 and 15 have germinated today. I'll let you know if any are potato leaf when they get their true leaves. And thanks again for the seed. Claud

I germinated 4 seeds and had fast germination of 3. I think I tossed the 4th without giving it enough time.
At least on the three is PL, cuz it's planted in my garden as I type Another one of the three is RL. The third seedling is MIA. These two of three seedlings were incredibly strong, which is why both are planted in Colorado on April 2!! (with protection) I'll bag blossoms from both seedlings, assuming our weather allows it...hail. Thanks Ray for sharing the seeds!! Last edited by austinnhanasmom; April 2, 2012 at 07:15 PM. |

It's too early for me to determine whether any of mine are PL or RL. I planted 8 seeds on 3/25 and it's 10 days out, and thus far just two have emerged. I have a few seeds left and will probably plant those as well. I will post periodically as we go through the season.

I planted 6 Brandywine from Croatia seeds. 4 germinated. One of these got broken off early on(due to a mishap by a young niece). All 3 of the remaining plants are regular-leafed. Thanks for the seeds Ray!

Out of the 4 seeds that I planted (that I received from kygreg) 3 germinated. Two are regular leaf and 1 is potato leaf. I plan on growing the potato leaf out to see how it does. I also will grow out the regular leaf as well of course!

Well, whatever they're supposed to be, two went out in the beds Easter Sunday. One regular leaf and one potato leaf. We'll see how they weather 34 - 37*F overnights the next couple of mornings.

Now I wish I hadn't saved this variety until next season. This is very exciting! I love mysteries and new varieties. And, I probably won't be able to do it in the fall, as I'm doing all dwarfed, which means I'll have to wait until next spring. |

Hi Ray! Your seeds have arrived. I'm really tempted to sow them, but I'm not sure that the plants will have time to set fruit. Thank you very much, Ray!!! Marina |
