I was browsing through my 6 week old seedlings today, and Chapman jumped out at me. The biggest, thickest stem in the bunch! Will be going into the ground this week. OTV Brandywine is looking great. Opalka was a bust so far. Wes I only got one blind seedling from that I am rooting for - and, as I said before, I will be wrapping up the season in greater detail later on with my notes.

But that Chapman seedling is really impressive, and very vigorous.

Carolyn---

Many thanks for the Woodle Orange seed--it is a delicious tomato and a great producer. It is still producing and frost is just a few days away. I've collected lots of Woodle seed and it is a variety that I will grow again and again. My Gran's Portuguese Neighbor bit the dust mid season due to disease. So many of my tomatoes fell to disese this year yet Woodle Orange was so strong is a sea of distressed plants. Thanks again

We had our first hard freeze Thursday night so time to write a wrap up on what I grew from Carolyn's seeds this year. Was a difficult year here with a record setting drought, high temps and winds but had a good late harvest.
Indian Stripe was very good again. A steady performer.
Chapman is still in my top ten. My favorite Red.
Branywine Sudduth didn't produce any.
Amish Potato Leaf was green when the frost came. Will ripen one inside
Matt D Imperio-Very impressed with this one. Did very well late. A juicy plum type with very good flavor.
Wes struggled some with the weather. Only got two fruits. Hopefully it will do better in a more normal year.
Red Penna and Mule Team also were light producers this year but will get a second chance.
Thanks again to Carolyn for sharing so many great tomatoes with others and for her advice. Have pulled the plants and starting to get ready for next year. JD
