We had a thundershower a few nights ago and it was great - woke me up thundering and raining very hard for maybe ten minutes. But the farm on the other hand a few km away didn't get any... as you say, luck of the draw for watering purpose.

We have a frost warning tonight, maybe another tomorrow night before the weather turns warm again. The trees have just leafed out for the most part, not fully out but in that pale green spring bloom state, and blooming!! Chuckleberries are in flower, catkins out on the local alder and the birches too, and pollen coating everything - the windows are caked with it. Just hope the girls got pollinated before they get hit with frost, that would be too bad!

hi rx where in the up are you, headed to Bellaire near Traverse in July and will prob(hope not) worry about my 100 + plants i have in the ground here in Central Indiana - lived in South Central MI for 55 yrs and am adjusting my growing for here in Indy - much hotter and dryer...........

We had a line of thunderstorms move through last night about 11pm. I had already gone to sleep but a noise on the patio woke me up. I got up to see what was going on, thinking it might be hail, which thankfully it wasn't. The gust front of the storm had blown over on of my 30 gallon containers that held two 5' tomato plants that are loaded with green fruit. These containers are heavy, so I was surprised it blew over. I stood it back up and snugged my grill up behind it and scooted back into the house. 8 green tomatoes were knocked off, but this morning the plants look fine.

I kind of freaked and shocked when I saw it laid over, but I have been pretty lucky weather wise this spring. We have had at least 6 tornadoes touchdown within 15 miles along with several hail storms with tennis ball size within the same distance along with 25" of rainfall and flooding in a 30 day period. This was my first damage and it was very slight. So I consider myself fortunate.

It is like a blast furnace out there today almost 100.
I dont even want to go outside till the sun starts to set.
I have some shop work to do and will do it tomorrow morning when it is cool.

Our weather statement is the same for today as yesterday with the same heat index. Right now it's 91 degrees and 67% humidity. A couple hours ago it was 98 degrees and 58% humidity. My how the weather changes out here.

had a shower earlier but I was able to run the little Honda(Mantis) and cut weeds. 88 degrees so good sweat weather and I fertilized and planted about 50 white corn seeds. Nice evening!

Decided to go out water things and sit with the cat anyway, I just needed to man up.

It's been in the mid-90s here, though the humidity isn't bad. Minnie has been scratching (no I don't think it's fleas but I'll treat anyway), so I gave her a bath. She hates baths - I mean, she's a cat - and hasn't had enough to get used to them, but little damage to the bañadoro. Toweled her good (she likes that part) then took her out into the heat for a good brushing and left her to dry. Later application of Flea Advantage.

For various reasons I've had to keep the internal temperature at 81°F or I'd be enjoying the heat my own self. (Ceiling fans are glorious things.)

Got mine turned to 70 and the fan is on blowing across the bed which is where i am going now.
