my garden is like a "wild flower" display these days -
Almost everything has baby matos ~
I am very excited -
the weather has been great -
and the straw for mulch is really
helping the weeding / watering thing ~

I just found little baby First Ladys and Julbilees. My first spotting of the season.
German Quenn plants are already loaded with blossoms. Not just a few.

I now have 2 SunGold tomatoes that are starting to turn. Green Grape and Black Cherry do not look to be far behind. Looks like I may get a few ripe tomatoes before the end of the month. Yipee!

RIK inspired me to revive this thread ...
The last plant of the bunch to set buds
is Lillians Yellow Heirloom ...
Big blossoms ... but what a plant !
Maters are needle head size, and its Aug. 1st !
Talk about a "late bloomer" ...

Geeeez,

That is a late bloomer.

Do you think you'll have time to get ripe fruit? If so, report on flavor if you can. I just tried my first Aunt Gertie's last night and it was fandamtastick!

When I lived in N. NJ,
our frost came around Oct.31 - Nov.2 ~
But now that I live in Central NJ by the Bay,
I can get at least 2 weeks into Nov. ~
By then, most of the garden plants
are finished ~
