After Gallbladder Surgery: Foods to Avoid

While your body adjusts, it is a good idea to avoid high-fat foods for a few weeks after having gallbladder surgery. High-fat foods include:
  • Foods that are fried, like French fries and potato chips
  • High-fat meats, such as bacon, bologna, sausage, ground beef, and ribs
  • High-fat dairy products, such as cheese, ice cream, cream, whole milk, and sour cream
  • Pizza
  • Foods made with lard or butter
  • Creamy soups or sauces
  • Meat gravies
  • Chocolate
  • Oils, such as palm and coconut oil
  • Skin of chicken or turkey
Carolyn, you see the one I put in bold letters right.

You have a speedy recovery.

Ami

Carolyn, I hope you are now home or going home, if you have the right care with these weather conditions. I wish you a speedy and uneventful recovery. I know of at least 2 groups that are strongly pulling for you and hoping for the best outcome. You are loved.

Carolyn is home and it will be a while before she is back to feeling herself. She said not to expect her on line for a while.

Thanks Dave for letting us know that Carolyn is home.

We miss her a lot but I hope she doesn't rush things and takes the time to completely recover.

It's good to know things went well.
