And I can tell you that Summertime Gold is great, just as is Summertime Green. I'm not a member of the Dwarf Project but Craig had sent me those two and few more just to let me take a look and a taste.

Yes, I did see that Sandhill had the Summertimes listed in the "News" portion of their website, but didn't see them listed with a catalog number in the online catalog. So, I thought that they were sold out and maybe another vendor had them.

And the final piece of the puzzle - I've been in contact with Linda, and she is working on making the seeds available soon - so if all goes well, within the next week or two (this is approximate - please don't bug them - I will let you know when they are available), Summertime Green and Dwarf Wild Fred will make it all nine now out!

I just got Dwarf Jade Beauty & Summertime Gold in the mail from SHPC. They also gave me muskmelon [which I needed] and Parsnip... Bonus! There is a few more than 15 seeds in each. I am very satisfied. I just got a new bag of Pro-Mix and some new flats. So forgive me while I sign off for a while while I turn into the Mad Scientist and meticulously sow my seed. My dog Max is a good listener, he will assist me.

I received my seeds from Victory today. I ordered the Beryl Beauty, Rosella Purple, and Tasmanian Chocolate. (I would have liked to try the Mr. Snow, but, alas, I was too late to jump on that bandwagon.)
There were 11 seeds each of the Beryl Beauty and Rosella Purple, and 13 seeds of the Tasmanian Chocolate. The Tasmanian Chocolate seeds were smaller in size than the other two. They came in small plastic bags inside larger paper envelopes with the description and planting instructions. The plastic bags are unlabeled. For protection from my own idiocy, and the household feline helpers, I immediately wrote the names and the year on the plastic bags. The backs of the envelopes were blank, so I've taken advantage of this and decided to make notes directly on the packages. I've noted the date I received the seed and the date and number of seeds I've planted. '3-25-11 planted 6 seeds' My plan is to add notes as things happen. |

I got Rosella Purple, Tasmanian Chocolate, and Mr Snow.
I got lots of different seeds out of tomatoes at SETTfest, including some Rosella purples, which I then grew out of ignorance of dwarf project seed protocol. Once I knew better, the tomatoes were already to big to kill... so I just told my mom/grandparents not to save any seed from those plants. Now I have the proper seeds for next year. I really loved the taste of the Rosella Purple I tried at Settfest. |

Yes, my purchase of Rosella Purple and Tasmanian Chocolate came fast too...within a few days of ordering. Thankyou to everyone working on this project and to Victory Seeds for getting them out so quickly. I've ordered two from Sandhill also and can't wait to try all of these.
