Is this a sweat bee I've read here that often are responsible for tomato cross pollination? A few of them were enjoying our rat tail radish flowers.

Thanks for the ID! That matches perfectly, good to know they are good guys! There were about 5-6 of them hovering around the radish blossoms. I'll try to notice if I see them on the tomato blossoms.

Thought I'd share a few pictures of where the garden is at! Things are coming along nicely--2016 is starting off on the right foot. It's not quite everything but pretty close.

First: Aji Amarillo, Serrano, Yummy peppers and 11xF3 multiflora micro dwarfs.
Second: Big plant is dwarf Rosella Purple and little ones are Teensy F3 (dwarf project)
Third: Teensy F2 and two different dwarf Jeremy's Stripes
Fourth: Lettuce (been the best lettuce year yet), tomatillos and Brussel Sprout/Kale cross (lettuce will be replaced with zucchini)
Fifth: Garlic, peas, squash, Green Doctors Frosted and baby Mexico Midget
Sixth: Cucmbers, broccoli (it is has been a great spring for broccoli), Blush and Eva Purple Ball
Seventh: Green Giant and Thorburn's Terra-Cotta and some Kale
Eighth: Sungold and Black Krim and some bush beans popping up
Ninth: Indigo Cherry Drops and KBX, along with onions and celery
Tenth: Ron's Carbon Copy and Sunrise Bumblebee

Thanks! The F3s were very tiny plants when I got them in the mail from Craig around Memorial Day weekend. They have really sprung up in the last week or so. I'm hoping the F2 is an early one, I'm eager to try them.

We started some multiflora dwarfs in late Feb. that were planted out into their pots in April and were shuffled inside and out early this year. They are ripening now so we've been able to enjoy some garden fresh tomatoes extra early this year!

Thanks guys! We harvested the last broccoli and peas today, they were replaced with summer lettuce starts and squash starts, respectively. 84 degrees and getting more humid I was soaking wet after coming in after doing yard work for a couple of hours!!

Found a couple spots on a couple leaves of 2 plants yesterday. I removed them and treated all plants with Ray's brew I used for powdery mildew on squash last year. 4 tsp potassium bicarbonate, 1 tsp dish soap and 1 oz Neem oil. We will see how it works. Although it looks like storms are possible tonight in which case I'll reapply another spray Sunday night if that happens.

Here is the recipe, I prefer to chop my cabbage, but you can grate into strands if prefer that.

1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2-2/3 cup vegetable oil

Feel free to play around the sugar amounts, etc. Next time I make it I think I'll reduce sugar and maybe up vinegar a bit because I like vinegar a lot.

So the tomatoes are doing very well. A few observations, I did some rearranging the garden layout this year. I had Eva Purple Ball and Blush too close to my spring broccoli which stunted the tomatoes. They are healthy and EPB had set fruit but Blush has held its first flower cluster without setting fruit. Now that the broccoli is out I'm sure they will thrive. One other oddity is Green Giant. It is a healthy plant with a lot of flower clusters but nothing has emerged and the flowers are hanging tight. It's been 2 plus weeks like this. Perhaps it is just taking its sweet time or maybe it is just very stingy. The rest of my tomatoes are setting nicely.
