My Dwarf Adelaide Festival seeds are fermenting right now. I've got Marglobe seeds packed up (10 baggies labeled so far), and I'll be fermenting San Marzano Nano seeds at the end of the week. Haven't decided yet on other varieties, but fruits from bagged blossoms are still growing... I didn't spot German Striped/Striped German(?) on the spreadsheet, so I'll probably send those, too.

In the non-tomato category, I've packed up about 20 bags of green tomatillo seed, and I've saved lots of ground cherry seeds (physalis pruinosa).

Btw, how did the Golden Gypsy that I sent you do down there in Texas?
I remember reading here in this thread (I think = Wrong thread) about needing around 5 seeds per pack for tomatoes. I'll go back and look and then edit.

I found it here in post 113 http://www.tomatoville.com/showthrea...t=42196&page=4

I try to always send at least 10 tomato seeds in each pack if not more (Okay usually more.) I never know if someone wants to grow 12-15 plants of a certain variety or maybe they give extra seeds to a friend, family, or trade them? Once I mail seeds to the MMMM or to a person - it's up to them what they do with those seeds.

I didn't get a chance to try them out here yet. I was going to try to grow them alongside the Scary F2's, to compare them, but my project tomatoes all took a bad turn. I think it was a combination of heat stress and irregular watering combined with tomato pinworm infestation. It took me quite a while to get it under control, and all my dwarf project tomatoes died before then. My plan is to grow it next spring with the next generation of Scary F3s. Thanks again for the seeds, I am really looking forward to growing it!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...97SCBI/pubhtml

The numbers indicate sets of bags with 10 seeds each. Tormato's list had mentioned 50 seeds, so I'm assuming 5 bags of 10 seeds each.

Everything in the main tomato section is sorted alphabetically. After row 256 (assuming no more vars get added), it's the unnamed tomatoes stuff, and other veggies are listed below that. The ? in the cells are because I didn't see people post the number of baggies being sent in for a specific var, and the * is like what Tormato indicated, planning to send seeds, not prepared yet.

I'm not sure what category most of these vars belong to, as it would take too long to double check everything in tomatobase, and also figure out which category its restricted to being in the MMMM. Maybe other people can figure fill in those blanks.

This doc might make it easier to check if a specific wishlist item can be fulfilled.
That is AMAZING! You are so wonderful! I love spreadsheets. I have about 5 with tomatoes right now. My master, my 2016 plant list, my 2016 seed harvest list, my 2017 to plant list, and my master wishlist. I have them so I can sort by color, year of most recent seed, DTM, size, type, etc. I love spreadsheets. I was so excited that you did this that I couldn't even read for a minute and told my husband about it. He doesn't understand why you would want a tomato spreadsheet.

I don't think there is a max of seeds you put in. I have gotten 20+ in more then one pack. I usually make my min about 12-14 unless I don't have much seed then I might go as low as 6 or 7. I know I prefer to receive more then 10, so I send more.

Tomatoes - minimum is 5 per pack, no real maximum. If there's a variety on the master wish list, and you think it may be near impossible to find, it's OK to send less than 5. There's been times when one lone seed comes in, and the recipient babies that seed to success.

Peppers - minimum 10 per pack, due to germination often being lower than for tomatoes.

Didn't realize that when I was packing the Enjoya striped bell seeds, I did 5 per baggie - should I redo them into 10 seeds each? It'll halve my donation from 150 packs to 75. This is my first year participating so I wasn't sure how many folks usually join. I wanted everybody to get some!

I will also be sending in at least 75 packs so dont worry i think together we will be covering the bulk of everyone.

Imp, I had to save that picture I might use it as a desktop pic next week when the grandchildren are here.

I think it is cool that you two are sending in Enjoya pepper seeds. - Although one of you know that I already have some (Tormato, I have some of these)

Next Tuesday 8-23, The drying seeds will be ready to put into bags. I should be able to put up a list of what all I'm sending in - unless more bags of ornamental peppers are wanted/needed.

Edit: There are 7 more pepper varieties that will be ready to save seeds from soon - possibly. (Not counting chickens yet)

I was wondering that too, how many people usually participate? The wish list has 21 currently, the spoiler spreadsheet has 16 currently (lots of overlap of course).

we all love the new ones me included but I need to refresh my stashes of some of the classics so I am hoping for some quality seed of some of the best of the best well known varieties

I don't know what I will send this year yet but will wait for the wishlists to get going to see what is needed.

hmm well, I have moved to a completely different climate with a much longer season so I want to have a new trial of some of the longer season beauties that I have avoided for a number of years in favor of newer and earlier types. I want fresh seeds for such classics as the Brandywines, kellogs breakfast, some of the large later season hearts such as Wes, some of the big bicolours like hillbilly, and some of the pastes I never had much luck with in zone 3 such as San Marzano, costoluto genovese etc. I haven't had time to sort through my old seeds and see what I would love to have fresh seed for but those are some I know my stash of is getting pretty old.
