Barb, you asked me to post a picture of a pruned dwarf. I basically just thin out all of the interior growth so the plant can breathe and pests can't hide. That wonderful dense foliage may work some places but it is not Florida friendly.
The plant I am having the most leaf issues with this season is Pink Bumblebee. |

I love that they feature what is in season. They are doing television commercials too. It is nice to see real food featured in a commercial instead of all the fast food. There is also a Simply Florida cookbook that is available to purchase at most extension offices.

The commercials are called Fresh From Florida too. Is the cookbook called Simply Florida? I can't find it.

That is a different one. This is the one I have:
http://www.simplyflorida.org/store/c..._Products.html But while I was trying to find it I came across another one: http://ifasbooks.ifas.ufl.edu/p-1237...-to-feast.aspx |

That site has some great recipes. I'm be browsing there for a while. Tonight I tried http://www.freshfromflorida.com/Reci...to-Bacon-Gravy and my husband raved. I had to sue some other fish, though. Grouper was $17.99 a pound when I looked at the store. |

hot peppers perform well in the summer if you don't mind whitefly (at least in South Florida) |

How is everyones season going?
It was stated earlier that our weather patterns this winter were "funky" super hot cold etc... and then this week its perfect. I need to find a way to stop the birds next year, I think its this one cardinal and a dove looking bird that go to town early morning pecking holes Any ideas? they did some serious damage this year. I almost shot one of them with an old red rider |

Yum! That tomato gravy sounds great and I love smoked gouda. Grouper is one of my favorite fish but I won't pay the price for it.
