Good pics, your stuff looks great Van.

Thanks everyone, and yeah Delerium I'm ready and cautiously optimistic. I'm a little concerned Disney will try to market Star Wars to the young/teen crowd instead of hardcore sci-fi fans and it may end up being a regurgitation of movies like the Hunger Games, Maze Runner, etc. BUT I'm just going to withhold judgements until I see it. Disney certainly has the money to do it right.

Well things are going reasonably well so far. Tomatoes are in full swing now and market has been a success. We seem to be drawing more attention now with all the heirlooms. The local paper took some pics and interviewed us. I have been battling squash bugs, leaf footed bugs, and squash vine borers but so far I'm holding my own. Here are some pics.
20160627_173038-resized-960.jpg It was raining a little when I got home yesterday so I picked all the tomatoes that were blushing. Nice haul. A few split but that just means I'm eating them. 20160626_151341-resized-960.jpg Orange Jazz. Very good texture, juice level was good but not as sweet as I hoped. Holding out for later ripening ones. 20160626_151416-resized-960.jpg 20160627_190621-resized-960.jpg Dwarf Mr. Snow. I was blown away by this guy. Was the best yellow i think I ever ate...and I figured it would be bland...lol nope. 20160627_190842-resized-960.jpg Most of mine have been big too, between 12 and 18 ounces. 20160624_203851-resized-960.jpg Fuzzy Wuzzy. I love this little plant. It takes up almost no space and the tomatoes are fabulous. Very sweet and fruity. Like eating candy and I love the fuzz feel on the outside. My wife didn't. 20160624_203929-resized-960.jpg 20160627_213201-resized-960.jpg Siccagno Di Valledolmo. The shape and size of a large chicken egg. Very dry and somewhat tough. Decent flavor for a paste. Mine are liking it in the GH and setting fruit like mad now. No BER either. 20160627_213417_hdr-resized-960.jpg |

It's great to see things firing on all cylinders. Let's hope your local fame transforms into loot.
Sweet Success: I've got 'em going also, barely starting to enlarge. Monika is a monster in terms of productivity too Mr Snow: great to hear it's strong. Siccagno: Try them dehydrated, and/or cook them. Fresh eating only so-so Fuzzy Wuzzy: I concur with your wife. It churns 'em out. Good luck vs the insects. |

Thanks Gerardo! Yeah I made some salsa last night and used all the split tomatoes. Saved seeds as well. I Just ate my first GGWT, Marsha wasn't joking. It was just about perfect. Tasted a little like a black to me with a refreshing tart finish. Cora Belle liked them to. I let her nibble on the soft middle.
