What do you think of Raspberry Miracle? I tried it a few years ago and was disappointed in the production but it was a mixed year. Taste did not stand out. It probably needs another chance but am interested in some input before I add it to my grow list again. Too many other intriguing varieties to try at the moment!
Love this thread - it is so helpful in determining new possibilities! Thanks for doing this! You and others on this site are helping the rest of us to experiment and grow "outside the box" so to speak! The problem is I swear to cut back every year and you come along with all these fabulous new ones I can't resist!!!!!!! |

Slow but ramping up. Transplanted Stupice, Black Cherry, Sungold, and Reisentraube back in early November and have been eating stupice, black cherry, and sungold about a week ago. Reisebtraube have not produced a ripe fruit yet but they are starting to blush.
Transplanted the larger varieties in early December and should have those around end of February if all goes well as they have small fruit set and blossoms. Once again this year my New Big Dwarf has been fighting some issues similar to last year. Trying everything to salvage the poor thing as I only planted 1 this year to try some new varieties. Chalk it up to a learning experience. |

New photos
1&2 Neves Azorean Red This has a bit more of an acid than sweet, but balanced flavor. RL, indet 3&4 Atkinson perfect store bought looking red and round, but that is where the similarity ends. Very fine tomato with great texture and an assertive sweet/acid taste, about 4 oz. RL, mine is determinate but it's supposed to be an indet. 5&6 Barlow's Best Black- I have already posted this, but if keeps cranking out these delicious fruit. RL, indet, fruit from 3oz to almost a pound. 7&8 Not Purple Strawberry, very popular tomato, and I see why. Production off the charts, very sweet but not one dimensional flavor, keeps pretty well on the counter. RL, indet, 4-6 oz 9&10 McKinley, also a heavy producer with beautiful pink fruit taste. Due to its shape, several have rotted, but a ripe one has wonderful taste. RL indet fruit averaging 10 oz. |

A few more
1&2 Sailor's Luck,( by Jayson Haynes) these are gorgeous in clusters of 3-4 loading up the entire very indet vine. Taste is a 7/ 10 so far. These are F6, saving the F7 seeds for my offer. 3, Wow Fedco Cherry, these are very tasty, similar to SunGold in size, color, and the skin cracks on most, great texture too. You bite it and it bursts. Very very lanky vine. I am saving lots of seeds because even with the cracking, these are great and should be tried. Developed by Fed of, but I didn't see it in their just sent catalog. My third plant if the Prime series I am growing out for Russ Aceto who made the cross. This is an F3, antho and gorgeous stripes present, beefsteak where the other 2 were blunt hearts, taste is very good 8.5/10. It has the kind if taste where I think I can tell it will be even better later in the season. Look for it to be stable in about another year. |

Marsha - Beautiful Pictures
Where did you get your Atkinson Determinate seeds? Do you think your saved seeds would produce Deteminate plants? |

Great stuff Marsha! I'm starting a NAR this year for my parents--it didn't make my 2017 list, but I'll be tasting and saving seeds from their fruits. Sounds like a tomato they will enjoy quite a bit (as will I).

I love following your thread, Marsha. Your mouth-watering photos are a great comfort through the cold Nordic winter, reminding me of what I have to look forward to.
