Beautiful weather, mid 80's and low 60's nights for the extended forecast. The damage from the week of rain and 50's has left it's mark though, have lost several plants to mold and anticipate several more.

it has been rather temperate here but dry. we really need some rain. a good soaker. we had 1/2 in last friday but that just made it damp. nothing to speak of in the forecast but at least it isn't 90.

Today started with a half inch rain and temperatures in the 80s for a good part of the day. It's in the lower 90s now and very humid. The heat is on tomorrow with no chance of rain for the rest of the month.

Another scorcher today with 105-109 heat index. Another great morning with a cool breeze in spite of the temps and humidity. Right now it is 82 degrees and 77% humidity.

I couldn't care less about the heat index, it is 100 solid degrees in Bastrop humidity 39.
I tried to sleep last night with the AC set on 80 and two fans blowing on me, it was horrible. |

Well , we have a consistent weather pattern :
H >> 95F >>> L >> 75F ,... RH >> 75% , ... promised PM showers that seldom come by. But as we head towards the last half of August , the weather should be much much nicer ; that is per forecast. As I am writing , it is 88F (feels 99F)... iss no berry goot

It was kind of cool going out to the garden around 8 pm tonight with a nice breeze again.
Meant to add it's 84 degrees and 83% humidity right now at 1:00 am.

Texas summer weather would be simple to forecast if they would lift a few censored words. I'll bet you can guess the forecast.

I have been out in this heat all day and am drained.
Not one time was I in the AC to cool off. I have to go to work again tomorrow at that hell hole of a school. Worth |

Here in PA it's been beautiful this summer as far as I am concerned. More rain than the last few years but I surely don't believe the "3rd wettest summer" stuff...that is just the weather people needing something to talk about. It is nice not to have near drought like we have had. Now my brother, about 12 mi due north by the crow, is getting a lot of rain...but he always gets a lot more rain than us. There is a ridgeline that runs SW to NE between us, and the rain is much heavier on the other side. He gets rain about every time we do, but not the other way around.

We had an F0 tornado (eta 8:49 PM -- I swa today where NWS reclassified it EF1 after studying the damage) touch down on 8/17. It didn't affect much here except the wind thrashed and tipped over my potted tomatoes. I got to see the sky turn orange, then purple, then almost black. There was a lot of freaky lightning up north and the thunder sounded like cannon fire. Someone said the warning sirens sounded, but I didn't hear them. I have given up expecting much of a tomato crop this summer.
