I have a water pump to aerate my live well on my boat. Would a water pump work to aerate compost tea ? Would the propeller injure the microbes in the tea? Please help

Bill, I think you'll be just fine. The little impellers on bilge pumps isn't capable of chewing up anything. I have a small one that I use for all kinds of things. You can even run them with a small 12 volt power supply or any kind of 12 volt battery.

I'm on the verge of starting seeds. I loaded up the mix and watered it down yesterday and will put the seeds in today. I wanted to let the temperature stabilize overnight. The average temp in my test was 73 F.

Gonna use Bio-Tone in the first transfer pot-ups and then on to Tomato Tone and the other stuff at plant out.

I imagine with your greenhouse, that you're well started by now. ???

Hi Ted I wounder if all the watert agitation will effect the reproduction of the microbs. yes I have toms just up and some planted mon. I`ll plant main crop sun. about 70%--about 30% in 6 weeks.

Bill, there's probably someone here who could be more specific, but bilge pumps are very similar, if not exactly like, the pumps that folks use for Hydroponics. The spinning impellor simply slings the fluid in the direction of the output nozzle. It builds up a pressure and that moves the fluid. It's like little plastic paddles. Microbes are so tiny (as in molecular), that I'm positive there is nothing to be concerned with at all.

I'm using last year as a yard stick and am shooting for the 1st of May as the plant-out date. My peppers will be a bit later.

I have 6 for contianers that I can move in and out of hot house for march 20 +or - and 6 to go in ground in plastic water jackets for 4-10 + or - Main crop 5-1 and 6-15. I plant a few suckers later as mood stricks me. I`m sure your correct about water pump on A.C.T.

Ted I use Biovam the same as you use Bio tone. The 3=PHOSPHORUS brings ? to mind.I`m under the impression that mycorrhizae and phosphortus over 2 is not compatable. I hope Amideutch will give his view on this subject.Epsoma must have research on this if they sell mycorrhizae with 3 P in their product. 3 may be the upper limit for compatablity? I stay confused when trying to keep up with all you rocket scientist.
