Reminds me of my tour of Lakenheath, England. After a year and a half of constant overcast and precipitation, the sun finally came out. People were moaning and making loud noises trying to scare away that evil "Fire Devil" in the sky. We sacrificed a cow and then the overcast returned for another year and a half.

Sorry, couldn't resist. The first half of that yarn is actually true - 437 days straight with some kind of precipitation and no sun.

Ami, I am constantly amazed at how "neat and groomed" your place looks. Lucky man. Of course, I think there's a lot of unused room there that could hold some more "buckets".

Ted, it's not easy but it keeps me busy. Especially with the rain I have to wait for the grass to dry enough so I can mow it. Which means sometimes I do some of it after work. Most of the pictures I post are of my back yard which is where my mater plants reside. Here's a couple shots of my front yard which I worked on yesterday. I have a special mower for doing the hill in front plus I wear cleated soccer shoes. Ami

Ami-beautiful country. Your tea maker looks like its enclosed-is that right?

Michael, for the most part yes. It's a collapsible 5gal plastic water container for camping that you can hang from a tree that has a water petcock type valve. I saw a company selling a compost tea maker using this exact water container. I bought a 48" bubble wand that stays on the bottom and you can bend it in any direction. The batch in the picture is 3gals. I stuck an aquarium heater through the hole into the slurry and keep it around 80-85deg F. Works great and don't have to worry about it bubbling over. Ami

Ami-Great setup. I use a 5 gallon plastic bucket, an aquarium bubbler thingie-and it does bubble over some.
