Default My first KY breaker!

First time I've ever picked a breaker tomato in June. I was out of town for a couple of days, and when I went out to check the tomatoes, here was this guy on June 30, and he got picked! A little green in the sholders yet, but should be ready to eat by the 4th of July.

Now, before you ask me what variety it is, I'm sorry to say I don't know. I brought the plant (along with 13 others) back with me from a trip to Texas to visit friends. My friend told me he didn't know what they were, just "probably some kind of large pink beefsteak". Looks like he was right. It weighs 15.65 oz. I set the plant out in the middle of April, and had to protect it from a few frosts, but it looks like it was worth it.

Looks tasty. When the time comes, let us have a peek inside, if you will.
