Default Cherokee Purple and compound blossoms (PIC)

That's a compound blossom, right? I know, probably a silly question, but this is a first for me. Is this a normal thing for Cherokee Purple? All three of my CP's have quite a few flowers like this, in addition to the normal ones.

Denna -- Yes, looks compound, and perfectly normal for CP (and many other varieties, especially with early blooms).

I personally like those "fused" blossoms ~
I know 3 times the maters are coming out of them !
