Reuse twine.

I was wondering if I can reuse twine from year to year.

I reuse twine during the season when I replace a plant. I cut off the old twine pieces that are long enough to reuse and use it to tie up new growth on other plants. I don't think the twine I use would hold up long enough to be reused the next year. I use sisal twine and it is usually starting to rot at the end of our long growing season.

I use baler twine, it will hold up for another year or so. Just wondering about if it can carry diseases.

We use the plastic baler twine to tie our taller plants to cattle panels held up by t-posts. Lasts a couple years. Works for us.

I trash mine when I clean out my rows, Don't want to take a chance on disease.
