Kazachka mini beef grew true
I received seeds from habitat_gardener that were saved from the mini-beef type.
I remember reading that Caroyln was not sure whether the seeds from each type would grow true. I just wanted to note that the seed I planted did produce the mini-beef type. |

My experience as well as Andrey's, who sent me the seeds, is that seeds saved from mini-beefs can give both cherries and mini-beefs and seeds savied from cherries can give plants with mini-beefs. So I am sure about this and I think in my last seed offer here in Jan I commented on it. Both have the same taste and both are about the same size and I really do like Kazachka. So luck of the draw on a statistical basis as to which form you'll get.

I have 6 Kazachka and all are the mini beefsteak. I usually plant 2 plants of a new variety but planted all I grew to increase my chance of getting both forms. Will save seed and try next year.
Seeds from Carolyn thru SSE. |

If that plate is a standard size plate I think I could put twice the number of Kazachka's on that plate since most that I grew were in the 2-4 oz range. But maybe you just grow your tomatoes larger than I do which doesn't take much these days since I've been confined to growing plants ( well Freda does for me) in gro-bags and still lusting after inground grown plants. I've got some seeds here labelled cherries for that variety and if that interests you just PM me with your address and I'll send you some. Not a general offer folks, sorry, but expect to be offering them again in my annual seed offer here at Tville. When filling SSE requests I have no idea if I sent out mini or cherry seeds, they were saved separately, I just noted in my SSE listing that there were two fruit forms.

I am happy with the mini beef Carolyn. Quite productive and very heavy foliage. Some are now splittting due to the recent 2" rainfall as I suppose most are as I have not checked.
I will be glad to to get the cherry in this variety. Thanks. Jack |

And maybe the seeds I send will give you cherries, as so labelled, and maybe they won't. Only one way to tell.
