Where to get Ildi?

Does anyone have any recommendations about where to get Ildi tomato seeds? Many thanks.

Thanks to you both -- I actually also just found it on Amazon.com , of all places. 15 seeds for $2.99 + $.49 . I bought it there, but I don't know if "Hirt" seeds are as good as Tomato Growers Supply...

Hmmmm, Hirt's does not have a good reputation. TGS would be better. And the price you paid for 15 seeds seems high to me.

Steve, above is a link to the Ildi page at Tania's Tomato data base and it shows you pictures as well as seed souces and I don't think Tania has updated all the 2011 places yet.

When at that page after you finish with it go to the upper left after and click on Main page and you can see all the ways that you can search for tomatoes. If I know the name I use the alphabetical method which you can click on.

Most of us would be at sea if we didn't have tania's website.

An alternative is to go to the wanted subforum of the seed exchange where folks can ask for varieties OR where to purchase them.

yet another alternative is to Google a variety and look at the seed sources.

Speaking just for myself I find some seed sources to be better than others but there are numerous threads about that here at Tville already.

Hope that helps and if it were me I'd go ASAP to Tania's website for information about any variety as well as where to buy seeds. Tania herself also sells seeds as do several other Tville members.

just look in the Seed and plant source Forum near the top and look at the general list that I think Mishka put up and you'll also see feedback threads about many of the seed sites there as well.

I grew some Ildi this year, not impressed.
Very, very small fruit!

I can send some seeds to you if you want any, just PM me your address. Original seeds from Park Seeds.
My plant is just loaded with clusters and clusters of flowers (easily a few hundreds), and lots of fruit. The fruit is indeed quite small, reminding me of some kind of gooseberries, without the bitterness.
Tastewise, mildly sweet. I may take a photo this weekend and post it.

I thought the fruit was supposed to be small anyway, isn't it? I have some seeds I bought from Tomatofest for next year...

I got mine from Park Seeds as well and yes they get hundreds of blooms. Just smaller fruit than I would prefer.

Oh, they are that small? I knew they were small, just didn't know they were "that" small! Good to know!
