Default Kimberly Overload !!!, Wow!!

Talk about a workhorse tomato. My Kimberlys are about three weeks later than normal in 2006, but oh my !!, what production. Flattened globes, handball sized, about 3 ounces each. Real mouth stuffers!!! And tasty too.

I counted 46 fruits in all stages of green and ripeness this morning on one plant and six more trusses of 6 flowers each waiting to be pollinated on the same plant. My other 2 Kimberly plants are loaded too. Is 100+ fruits per plant a possibility???

Best regards,
Bill (aka Spudleaf Willie)

Wow, that's great to hear as I plan on growing a couple of Kimberlys next year. My Matina has close to a hundred fruits and they've been pretty tasty too.

My Kimberly hasn't been as early as I'd hoped, but it is loaded with fruit---even with the heat we've been having. I'm still waiting for ripe toms. I have a cherry almost ripe, it was from a neihbor---she said it was a grape tomato, but they are perfectly round so I'll have to ask her again. At this point I really don't care what variety it is!!!!

I haven't picked for over a week but finally did so today so I could water the plant. We went through many days of 100°+ heat including two days in a row of 112°. The fruit stayed on the vine and was still in perfect shape when picked though a few did have sunscald.

177 Tomatoes - 14 pounds from 1 plant.

I started mine in my basement in Jan and had my first in April. Then i had a few more, then the leave curled and it sat their for a couple months.
Now it's switched back on and churning them out.
