Miracle-Gro Garden Soil

I was at Home Depot this morning getting a few things other than for my garden. As I always do I went through the garden center to see what they had that I didn't. I went looking at prices and saw that the 1 cubic foot size of Miracle-Gro that was normally $4.77 a bag was on sale for 4 bags for $10.00 which is almost half price. So being that I didn't need it I only got 12 bags and left some for all of you.

That is a good deal, I grow in containers and always look for when the miracle grow potting mix goes on sale in the spring and this year Mills Fleet Farm had 2 cubic bags for 6.99 I think regular price was 10.99

Thats funny, one of the largest contributors here, NCtomatoman, uses only MG potting mix and moo nure.

I all ways flinch with the name "soil" not the same as potting mix. I have no problems with MG.
Ace hardware had a sale on it so I bought enough to use my 5 dollar off coupon. Don't need it now, but will some day. Actually I prefer Ace potting mix a bit better, seems to have less larger pieces but that may be just here in the Drnver Co area.

I thought Craig used the soil he starts with.Mertomix 360 in all transplant pots those huge bags in his videos, The MC here has bark in it and 1-2inch sticks.

Well at least in my PM and in the dwarf thread he states mixing 2.5cf bag of MG potting mix and 1cf of bag of moo-nure. Trust me I was surprised as well.

The Miracle Grow potting soil/mix regular is OK, the one with the "moisture control" is not that great. Imo, it hold too much water, for too long. I've had plants kinda drown in it, and I'm generally an underwaterer.

Checked my local HD and they are out of stock. So checked Lowes and bought 12 bags! Thanks for the heads up!

Lowes also had their blueberrys and fig trees on clearance for $4.00 each, I bought 7 of the blueberry (Home Bell) for myself! They also have their raspberries, strawberries and blackberries on clearance for $6.00 each, incase others may be interested. Oh, all 8" pot sizes.

I'm an underwaterer too. I'm using MG Moisture Control for the first time on some of my peppers. Everything seems to be going very well so far, but it is really different. Got to get used to not watering.

I bought some blueberries from Lowes also. Planted them and two days later a rabbit ate them. Dang! Just put up a fence to keep the moose out ... now need to work a little lower!

I think MC soil products are terrible. I am a proud user of Lambert organic soil .

MG= Miracle Gro

MC= MG Moisture Control, any other moisture control product, or maybe Hip Hop?
