Are there any that I should not grow?

Wow...that's a nice list Grub...can't say I would change anything. It will be nice to follow your season and turn-out while our fall/winter sets in.

WOW !!!Grub i'm like Adenn 1 I would'nt change a one of them well except for the pink ping pong that way you can send seed to me LOL anyway i say if you like them grow them if you didn't than don't it all depends on your taste (well mama grubs also)cause if mama ain't happy than grub won't be happy but thats just my opinion and you know how that goes opinions are like b _ tt h _ les(you can fill in the vowels ) everybodys got one and some stink

Speaking of Daylillies, I wish I could transplant mine. By the time I know where they are they have sprouted leaves

Based on your list, I would remove the ones that you've
grown before, but are still negotiable. To me, this
means you've grown 'em, liked 'em enough to plant again,
but they're not in your top ten....

So, I say make room for the newbies to see if there are
any more top tens to be found.

Here's the ones in those categories with some added opinions...

*Anna Russian - Great variety, but this is one I also sacrifice to add more that I haven't tried....

*Cherokee Purple - Tough call here, but if you've got other blacks....

*Cuostralee - Got to draw the line here. I can't tell everyone this is the BEST tomato around, and also suggest not growing it to you..... So, keep this one!

German Johnson - Never impressed me, but it's a new one for you. But if you've got to get rid of just one more.....

*Grandfather Ashlock - Loved this one, and it is slowly becoming part of my top ten, but since you've tried it.... cull it too...

*Gregori’s Altai (ex Korney/Chuck W.) - Never tried.

*Kellogg’s Breakfast - I prefer Orange Heirloom, but since you've grown this one... cull it.

Noire de Cosebo ?? Noire de Coeuseboeuf I think. Visually appealing, can't say about the taste as I didn't get a chance to try it at TPIV. Here's a picture...

Wow Grub, that’s some list.

I don’t see any I’d say ‘don’t grow’ (many I haven’t tried yet) but Stump of the World has ?? next to it. I’d say it’s a must grow, heavy producer of very large, delicious tomatoes. This was my second year with it and it’ll always make the list.

Fabulous list, I wish I had space for that many. I noticed you grow Kimberly in a pot. Any particular reason for this? I've never grown it before but plan on trying it next year. What is the overall growth habit of Kimberly?

Awesome list! Just commenting on 4 you haven't grown yet that I have. This year, Indian Stripe and Sara's Galapagos are hands down winners in my garden! Last year, I really enjoyed Kosovo and Russian 117. They were both heavy producers of quite yummy tomatoes.

Last year I grew 57 varieties, but mainly just one of each except for the pots, where I double and even triple the planting.

Kimberley did fantastically well in an 8 gallon pot. It hits about 4-5ft and has an open rangy habit that doesn’t smother other potted tommies around it. Only needs a few ties here and there.

I see your logic and thanks for that. I’ve grown Cuostralee for three seasons but this year I’m trying a different seed source. Hopefully it produces more regular-shaped fruit.

Indian Stripe will replace Cherokee Purple.

Hi. Hopefully some of the remaining oldies or soakers in this list germinate. Thanks for the seeds. I would be grateful if I could cut the list by half, really.

Thanks for your comments. Last year I found the medium reds like Red Brandywine and Livingston’s Favorite were just great dependable tomatoes. I do place a lot of value on productivity, which varies from two or three tomatoes on some vines to dozens on others.

I guess productivity and flavour are the keys for me.

Here is what I'd do with the list, which doesn't mean it's what I think you should do but I'm feeling a little selfish and self centered and more than a bit ignored by Mrs. Bully. So I'll just answer the way I want and the gosh darnoodley dishes can wait till the morning, it;s not like they're gonna get any dirtier! jeesh..

Yellow..grow it don't grow it either way

Red = cull (but not necessarily because it's bad, could be just that I grew before and space and time are limited)

No opinion= Yes, there are rare times that I actually do not have a tomato opinion, as I approach 40 I have decided to become more stately, maybe I'll fool folks into believing that I'm wise.

Thanks for putting the washing-up on hold. Got your priorities right Hope you still get desserts. Thanks to your help I think we're going some way to finalising the list. The cull is tonight.

Once squared away we'll don those red-lycra suits you sent me and dance under the full moon before the tomato altar while passing the chalice filled with Daconil and chanting the secret mantra written on squirel skin by your dog. Usual pre-season stuff.

Great list Grub, and some good suggestions too.
If anyone is wondering about Nepal X Tommy Toe, they are a cross I made last year. One plant produced well over a hundred near golf ball size fruit. Taste was tart with a lingering flavour. I am growing the F2's this year and the seedlings although not showing true leaves yet look interesting. Very stout short seedlings. Time will tell.
Heres a picking from last year. I was picking them as the started to colour as the birds liked them as well. Useless cats
